The performance of EVA has a great relationship with the content of (VA), when the content of VA increases, its resilience, flexibility, adhesion, transparency, solubility, stress crack resistance and impact performance will be improved; when the content of VA decreases, the rigidity, wear resistance and electrical insulation of EVA will increase. In general, the VA content is plastic material in the range of 10% to 20%, and the VA content is more than 30% elastic material.

In 2007, the global photovoltaic system installation capacity reached 2826MW, a sharp increase of 62% over 2006, the solar cell output was 3436MW, an increase of 56% over 2006, and the global market share of China's solar cell production increased to 35%, surpassing Japan (26%). In 2009, the domestic demand for solar cell EVA film reached 120 million square meters, while the existing production capacity of domestic EVA film is only 50 million square meters, which is far from meeting the needs of domestic battery manufacturers, although the existing manufacturers still have a certain gap in product quality and foreign products, but some cost advantages, mainly for the supply of small and medium-sized enterprises, are also in short supply.
